Meet the JustFix Team

Joel Stillman

Joel Stillman

Co-Director

Joel (he/him) works with teams to increase community access to critical services and information. His goal is to co-create products and processes that enable people to hold power accountable. Prior to joining JustFix, Joel was a product design director at The New York Times, a fellow at Blue Ridge Labs @ Robin Hood Foundation, and a fellow at The Center for Urban Pedagogy. He loves road trips, playing guitar, and backpacking in the mountains.

Prakriti Rajan Babu

Co-Director

Prakriti (she/her) is a management generalist with a passion for organizational development. She has spent the majority of her career in the Education sector and wants to continue to partner with and deliver impact to under-served communities at JustFix. She completed her MBA from Tuck School of Business and most recently served as the COO at Teach For Vietnam. In her free time, you will find Prakriti laughing at memes, enjoying fantasy fiction, and packing her bag for the next trip.

Maxwell Austensen

Software Engineer

Maxwell (he/him) comes to JustFix with a background in research and analysis using NYC housing data. He enjoys learning and teaching new technologies with others, and organizing to stop evictions. Maxwell is passionate about using data and technology to support the tenant movement in organizing to build tenant power and fight for a world without landlords and rent.

Design Lead

Leslie (she/her) is a multidisciplinary designer with 7+ years of experience in a wide variety of industries including education, restaurants, government and tech. She’s motivated by close collaboration, digging into complexity and using design to envision new possibilities. After hours you can find her knitting, trying new teas or checking hikes off her bucket list.

Johanna Monge

Associate Product Manager

Johanna Monge (she/her/ella), a lifelong Queens gal, daughter of Peruvian immigrants and tenant organizer, integrates her passion for transformative justice into all her work. She co-founded Astoria Tenant Union at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic utilizing the skills she gained from organizing in Inwood and Washington Heights while at the Metropolitan Council on Housing. She graduated from Clark University with an honors degree in Political Science and Urban Development.

Ki Wan Sim

Ki Wan Sim

Software Engineer

Ki Wan is a software engineer committed to using technology for social justice by centering communities at the margins. Prior to JustFix, she was a full stack developer at NGP VAN, creating political organizing tools for Democrats, progressives, and labor unions. Ki Wan also co-founded Fire, a mobile app equipping undocumented folks against unlawful enforcement tactics. After hours, she can be found making ceramics or hanging out with her two rescue cats.

Georges Clement

Co-Founder

Georges is an experienced entrepreneur and product manager. He was a Cheng Fellow and received his Master’s in Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School. Previously, Georges was a Fellow with Blue Ridge Labs @ the Robin Hood Foundation and a Product Manager at General Assembly. He is a New Yorker with a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and has been selected as a Forbes 30 Under 30 in Law & Policy. Georges is a prison abolitionist who enjoys playing soccer in the park and eating bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches from his corner bodega.

Stan Morse

Stan Morse

Lead Organizer

Stan is the Lead Organizer for the Justice for All Coalition, an organizing group based in Astoria / Long Island City that focuses on advocacy for NYCHA residents. As someone who has grown up in public housing, the issues facing NYCHA residents have always been personal to Stan. He has over 10 years experience as an organizer, and in addition to working on affordable housing and NYCHA issues, he has also worked on anti-gun violence and anti-bullying campaigns that were focused primarily on reaching the youth. Stan has been a power user of JustFix tools, helping 100+ NYCHA residents in Queensbridge send letters of complaint, hosting trainings, and more.

Ashley is a UX designer and researcher with a background in information design and data visualization who believes in the power of co-creation and human centered design process.

Ignacio Jaureguilorda

Ignacio Jaureguilorda

Director, Poverty Justice Solutions

Ignacio Jaureguilorda is the director of Poverty Justice Solutions. Before joining the Center for Court Innovation, he worked as a public interest attorney for 14 years, providing free civil legal services to low-income New Yorkers. Most recently, Jaureguilorda served as director of legal services at the AIDS Center of Queens County, where he spearheaded the organization’s legal and public policy work and represented people with terminal and chronic illnesses. Previously, he served as an attorney with Housing Works, a non-profit organization that works on HIV/AIDS and homelessness issues, litigating cases involving income discrimination in real estate and discrimination against transgender individuals. Jaureguilorda has represented clients in a wide range of matters, including landlord-tenant disputes, public benefits, discrimination, immigration, and family law.

Jean Schneider

Retired Judge and Legal Services Attorney

Jean worked for 20 years as a civil legal services attorney representing tenants in the New York City Housing Court in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Staten Island. She also served for three years as the elected president of the Association of Legal Aid Attorneys, the UAW-affiliated union representing staff attorneys employed at the Legal Aid Society. Jean served as a Judge of the New York City Housing Court for 25 years, retiring in 2022.

Saundrea I. Coleman

Saundrea I. Coleman

Activist / Organizer

Saundrea has over two decades of work experience within public service, she is a retired payroll supervisor. She is a longtime tenant organizer advocating for repairs and funding for public housing tenants in NYC and beyond. She helped lead a group of Upper East Side NYCHA residents to resist and stop the Infill Proposal at Holmes Towers. She also with a group of close to 30 tenants sued NYCHA for repairs and better living conditions in 2019. She actually does home visits, advocates and writes emails on behalf of suffering tenants in public and private housing. Saundrea is known as a Social Justice Crusader fighting for those who are oppressed, unhoused, abused by law enforcement and those who have been harmed by systemic policies. She is also an ordained minister and does not mind getting into Good Trouble!
